Founder/Creative Director, and Owner of Hamptons Yoga Healing Arts, Abby has been teaching yoga since 2004, Certified eRYT, 800 HOUR Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, apprenticed with Lady Ruth Lauer Manenti at Jivamukti Yoga School NYC.Hamptons Yoga Healing Arts is now a Jivamukti Affiliate Yoga School. Abby shares her deep love of the ancient teachings & practices of yoga that have been passed down to her through her teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life, and mentor Lady Ruth Lauer Mannenti, and the whole Jimamukti lineage. In her classes, Abby blends the wisdom teachings with mantras on harmonium, offers poetry and parable, throughout her carefully sequenced classes. As a forever student of yoga, she humbly continues to deepen her understanding of all that comes up through her daily sadhana.

In class, you will be skillfully guided through heat building asanas, accompanied by inspired music and supportive hands on assists, leading to a long expansive shavasana and meditation.

Celeste Gronda eRYT, grew up in a household where yoga was regularly practiced. Her influences were progressive and loving, yet she felt she needed to express herself and find her own path. After several trips abroad to travel, study, and explore the world, she lived in San Francisco, feeling the most at home, on the yoga mat. Immersed in a wide range of vinyasa practices on the west coast she found and related to the philosophical harmony in the alignment based style of Iyengar, and Vinyasa Flow. 2004 brought her to Manhattan where she became certified RYT with Cyndi Lee of Om Yoga. Back to Vinyasa! Her teaching style is playful, warm, and informed, and compassionate. . She weaves a creative blend of yogic philosophy, alignment based principles, and soulful music to each class safely encouraging each student to explore new and exciting aspects of themselves as they relate to this ancient and beautiful practice.

Desiree McKenzie

Desirée completed 300+ hours teaching certification through Jivamukti Teacher Training program in May 2016 and teaches the Jivamukti method. She trained 200+ hours as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher in 2007, and is a certified Thai Yoga Massage Level 2 Bodywork Specialist since 2014. Her blended 500+ hours training in the wellness realm create classes that soothe, nourish and strengthen the body.

She would like to thank all of her holy teachers, especially Sharon, David, Marni, Abby, and all of the yogic influencers that have shaped her. She is grateful to have learned the ancient healing practices that maintain equanimity and grace, and her classes focus on using the yoga practice to heal through asana, japa meditation, and pranayama to align and center your whole being.


Christianne is long island born and raised mover + a doer, creator + mess maker that dove into the yoga practice at the age of 15 and has been going strong ever since, as she become instantly enamored with the intoxicating dance of breath, movement + philosophy.

Through consistent practice Christianne began to discover that she could take yoga with her absolutely anywhere she went, whether it be to the beaches of Hawaii, swimming through the challenges of the early twenties, the birth of a son, the practice has been a lighthouse through all the stormy + sunny weather. and this is why she is passionate about sharing the love.

“I’ve had the honor and pleasure to be actively teaching for over 4 years now, and within this time had the blessing to lead 200 + 300hr trainings, open yoga studios + connect with the community in ways that I could have never imagined...and all this thanks to the practices that lead to Yoga.”



Events Coordinator, Jesse is a devoted yogi on and off the mat. Her yoga practice has been the thread, woven through her life, for the past 20 years. She has come to appreciate the simplicity of life, finding beauty and grace in all that the universe offers to her. Her spiritual guides and yoga mentors have helped her on her path to finding a yogi lifestyle. After training with Shiva Rae in Prana Flow Yoga, and Maria Garre in Prana Flow with a focus on Ayurveda medicine, she found her yoga voice and began sharing her practice with others in classes and retreats. Jesse has certifications in Synergy Partner Yoga, Reiki Lv1, Thai Bodywork. Jesse has been Yoga Alliance certified since 2009. Combining her love of yoga and surfing, she also co-founded OmOcean Yoga Surf Retreats, while living in El Salvador. Her passion for international travel has led her to many different locations to study yoga, so that now, experiences that are shared and integrated throughout her classes. Due to this versatility, her dynamic classes speak to all levels and backgrounds of yogi practitioners.



Jessica has been teaching yoga for the past 22 years and paddling for the last ten. As a SUP pioneer, was the first woman in the Northeast to begin practicing yoga on a paddleboard, became WPA certified as a SUP instructor in the spring of 2012, the same year, became a certified stillwater lifeguard In 2015, She completed the water safety rescue course through the ASI and the ASI Level 1 SUP Instructor course in Englewood, Florida. Jessica certified Jivamukti Yoga instructor, SUP is an avid SUP racer and surfer.

Ambassador for the last 6 years for the company Boga—the first board company to make a board specifically for Yoga. These are the boards you will be paddling and learning sup yoga on.

Jeff Gallin, a Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher, completed his 500 hour certification at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. His personal experience with Parkinson's Disease led him to delve deeper and deeper into the many layers and benefits of yoga. Yoga is the best part of his day, every day. He believes each of us can use the healing powers of yoga to improve the quality of his/her life. He teaches in alignment with the idea that the individual does not have to adjust to yoga but that yoga has to adjust to the individual, meaning that each person should practice the postures that bring balance to his/her system. He prefers a vinyasa class that includes meditation and breath work, all to focus the mind. He has taught various class sizes, prefers small, and therapeutic semi-private yoga, as well as one on one private practices.

Edward (Skip) Batcheller is a practicing artist with a passion for drawing, painting, and photography. He brings to the Lake Atitlan Guatemala Retreat an approach to drawing that offers new ways of seeing into the heart of nature. Skip, a native of Westhampton is Abby's partner in life and work, and shares with her a devotion to art and yoga. Some of Skip's artwork can be seen at www.edwardbatcheller.com


Lady Ruth’s transformational teachings come from her gurus: Sri K Pattabhi Jois, Sharon Gannon, David Life, and her Sanskrit teacher, Jayashree who guided the Yoga Sutras deeply into her, her husband, and her own ongoing commitment to practice and studies which are never ending. She is also an artist,with MFA from Yale, has taught painting and printmaking at Yale and Dartmouth College.

She currently teaches at Jivamukti Yoga school and their teacher trainings.


Yogeswari, based at the Jivamukti Yoga School in New York City since the year 2000, is one of the most senior teachers of the Jivamukti Yoga Method. She is Advanced Certified, a Facilitator of Jivamukti Teacher Trainings, and has taken many Jivamukti Certified Teachers through one-on-one apprenticeships towards their 800-hour-certification. Since 2004, she has been teaching around the world. Yogeswari is known for her vigorous, seamless Vinyasa sequencing, and her thought-provoking philosophical teachings. With 20 years of experience in dance and choreography, she brings liveliness and vibrancy to all her work. She holds an MA in choreography and dance from New York University and a BFA McL in dance from Temple University, Philadelphia. Born in Switzerland, she teaches workshops, immersions, and retreats in five languages.

She is the founder and president of AZAHAR Foundation, an international non-profit organization that promotes cross-cultural understanding and non-violent conflict resolution through Yoga and the Arts, with special attention to disenfranchised...


Jules Febre, nephew of Sharon Gannon and David Life, has been practicing Jivamukti Yoga since the age of 6, and is an advanced certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, mentors and facilitates Jivamukti Teacher Trainings, and the Apprentice course at the NYC Yoga School, and around the world. Having grown up in New York City, Jules has an eclectic style of teaching that has brought him into public school systems, homeless shelters, and youth development centers to teach young students, as well as seasoned practitioners. We feel very grateful to have him visiting us here in Westhampton Beach.
